Ask HappiLabs
One of the values of having a HappiLabs Virtual Lab Manager is being able to tap into our supply chain and industry knowledge. This is most beneficial to early career lab managers, but also scientists who don’t want to lose time searching the internet. Here are examples of questions scientists have asked us to help them move experiments along faster due to backorder issues, or to save them money. #askhappilabs

I need help searching for an in stock sterile alternative to Thermo 260251
Response:
We will soon need to restock agarose (powdered) for our lab. Can you help us find a cheap supplier?
(From an inexperienced grad student at a state university and after asking a couple questions about their experiment)
Response: We don’t recommend “cheap” as that may harm the quality of your experiment, but we can recommend low cost and good value options for agarose. And since agarose is very common, many suppliers exist. Here are 3:
VWR (97062-250) at $416 (but your university pricing might vary)
Sigma at $620 (but your university pricing might vary)
